A moment of peace.....

Don't blink or you may miss it. Ben is helping Chloe with her "sight word" homework. A rare, but blessed, moment of teamwork. This is not all that common, but GREATLY appreciated when it occurs. They are 2 years and 4 months apart in age. Ben being the big brother. They are competitive ! In everything. Especially for attention. Although Chloe is more willing to let Ben take the spot-light. Probably due to the fact that he can be loud, boisterous, and down-right crazee, at times.

At one point, a few years ago, I asked Mr B if this sibling rivalry was normal. Having 2 older brothers, that were 15 years older than me, gives me a different perspective of how siblings interact. I was the baby of the family. They were married & starting their own lives when I was in 2nd grade. They would say I was spoiled, but I'm still not going there.

Mr B said that his relationship with his siblings is probably not a good standard to measure by. Three boys, each 2 years apart from one another. Mr B being the youngest. Whew, you can just imagine. So I had a learning curve. When to intervene, when not to, how to.....and the list goes on. This may seem strange to you, but it's what I know. Sometimes I do a good job, sometimes not so good.

All I know is that "this moment of peace" is brought to you by....one proud mama !
