Little Miss and her Loose Tooth

Chloe lost the other top tooth the day that Grandma arrived. She wasted no time in starting in on the other one......that night ! It took a few more days. 8 more days to be exact. 8 days of wiggling, cracking, and more wiggling. This is a picture right before she went to school yesterday.

Hanging by a thread. Literally !

I had no doubt if the tooth would return home in her mouth or in a baggie.

Her 1st grade teacher has been a first grade teacher for 28 years. (gasp!) I'm certain she's watched many a child wiggle their tooth at their desk and raise their hand in triumph, as it falls out. Chloe's tooth didn't even last until lunch time.

Here's a little play-by-play of her efforts at the breakfast table yesterday morning.
Going........

Going......
(this one makes Mr. B squeamish)

GONE !She could hardly contain her smile, as I picked her up from school. She looked as if she was the cat that swallowed the canary. She was able to keep her mouth closed for only a short time, until her big ole toothy grin took over her face.

She shot in the front seat, so I could get a closer look. I confirmed, indeed, she had lost a tooth. Where was it ? When did it happen ? What happened next, and all the other fun details.

I love this age. The changes. Some welcomed. Some not.

This is one of the sweet ones.

Chloe Wish I could have been there to see your big smile after you lost your tooth. Guess we knew you would have it out by time you came home from school. You worked so hard to get it out. Is the new peeking through?????
