Tonight we (Mom & I) didn't want to cook, so we went to Famous Daves.Chloe was so hungry she wanted "Tide-Overs". For the rest of us, we call them appetizers.
Mr B ordered onion strings.
They arrive to the table. Chloe eats and eats. Then she asks "what are these"? "what's the stuff inside"? 
Mr B asks, "do you like onions?"
Chloe says "nope". Mr B says, "that's what those are". Chloe says, "I don't like plain onions, but when they are in tide-overs they are good."
No complaints from Ben. He was taste-testing all the BBQ sauces on the table. Of course, the most interesting being "Devil's Spit".
This goes to show you can dip most anything in batter and deep-fat fry it.....and it's all GOOD !

Oh, I'm hungry now for fried food - maybe sweet Nate will make a run to sonic for me - it's only 10pm.
